I was originally a supporter of John McCain for his experiences and his caliber. On the other hand, I have reservations towards Barack Obama because of his lack of demonstrated experience in forgein policies and domestic issues. However, I am sure that many Republican supporters are beginning to doubt and change their views after knowing more abou the Republican vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. I am not saying that John McCain's leadership is not as good as Obama's, but his choice of partner rasises serious concerns about his judgements.
The latest news development has put Lain's personal integrity under scrutiny. She has become John McCain's biggest laibility rather than his asset. Palin lacks experience and substance as well. Therefore, John McCain choice of people has really made me think twice whether he can be a wise leader.
Sarah Palin is currently under investigation by the state legislature for possible abuse of power surrounding the dismissal of the commissioner for public safety. Morever, she is also a hypocrite. She stood before the Americans and professed to be a Christian while she dished out negative and racial comments about another perseon. Futhermore, she did not even have a passport. This is really important because this shows that her interactions and understanding of other countires are very inadequate. This depiects her inability to make wise decisions due to her limited exposure. These conclude that Sarah Palin cannot bring forth a certainty of security and hopes for America. Imagine if John McCain does become elected but passes away during his term. What do you think America will be like if Sarah Palin succeeds to become the president of the United States?

I've just written my Letter to the Editor on this topic regarding Sarah Palin's inability to stand beside McCain. I believe that the way she handled her recent personal affair of dismissing the commissioner was poorly timed and it greatly affected her reputation for this presidential campaign. Recently, their campaign has been criticized that it has been trying to “whip around anger” evident at McCain/Palin rallies. This can lead to violence and an unhappy election. I believe that this method that the McCain and Palin campaign is using could just be the offensive strategy to point out Obama’s weaknesses so to make their campaign “look better”. Furthermore, because she lives very close to the Russian border in Alaska (her homeland), she claims that she “understands” the country beside her just by overlooking it. This ridiculous statement simply proves her naïve and simply mind. I especially enjoy your argument of “what happens when McCain passes away during his term”; this could be one of the arguments against him as his ability for decision-making and immediate counter-measures are questionable because of his age.
This is a topic discussed alot in the united states now, and as an american, i too am concerned. I believe that in terms of leadership and who is capable to lead a country, both John McCain and Barack Obama are fully capable if not almost the same as eachother. the question now is, the vice president. I do not think Sarah Palin is fit for the job, as you said, she has no international exposure too, which is extremely important as the US has strong relations with most of the countries in the world. Barack Obama's candidate is more for the job. so when we vote soon, we are not voting for who is the better president, they are both equal. we are voting for who has the batter vice president.
